Inclusivity Statment

At Great Northern Events NW Ltd and our Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fairs and other activities and events, our ethos is the polar opposite of mass production we are about the individual, the unique, the one off, the bespoke.

We’re about encouraging people to try new things, to be bold and to stand out. We welcome with open arms, the unique contributions that people from diverse backgrounds bring. We don’t just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, we encourage it and we thrive on it for the benefit of our company, our staff, our programming, audiences and our participants.

We want a working environment that promotes dignity and respect for everyone. We will not tolerate any form of intimidation, bullying, or harassment.

Our ambition is to reflect and represent today’s UK in our staff, our participants and our audiences. We aim to increase access, opportunity, participation and involvement in all our activities for those under-served communities.

Attracting the least engaged and increasing the range and social diversity of our audience is as much of a priority, as increasing the numbers and deepening the engagement of our current audience.
